The Chunky Monkey - A Cigar-Style Handcrafted Acrylic Pen

The Chunky Monkey is a handcrafted acrylic cigar pen which was created by Gayle Akerman from start to finish. The white acrylic was cast here in the workshop at Lathe Life Creations, using alcohol ink in beautiful bright pink hues. This was a first for Gayle! Never having used alcohol ink in resin, she was inspired by other art she has seen and wanted to give it a try in the workshop. The colors are beautiful and blend well together. This pen would be an awesome addition to your desk or your collection, and truly one-of-a-kind!

With its ergonomic cigar design the pen fits well and feels very comfortable in the hand. But it is a “hefty grip”… helpful to those of us who may have a touch of arthritis or just enjoy the bigger grip. The beautiful chrome and black trim enhances the beauty of the acrylic, and a touch of shine adds to the fun element. This pen would make a great gift for anyone!
