The Certificate of Authenticity states: "This certifies that this item is solid oak, made from an authentic BUFFALO TRACE® KOSHER WHISKEY BARREL. The Buffalo Trace® distillery is one of the oldest distillation centers in the United States. With over 200 years of Bourbon Whiskey production under their belt, Buffalo Trace® is created from local Kentucky and Indiana grains. Their Master Distillers air dry aged white oak barrels before charring the wood. Each barrel ages and mellows at its own rate before passing a panel led taste test and being released to the public as Buffalo Trace®."
