This pen is crafted from authentic Angel’s Envy® bourbon barrel wood, sourced from barrels used in the double‑maturation finishing process. The certificate details the bourbon’s aging timeline and verifies the provenance of the white oak used in your pen.
“This certifies that this item is solid white oak, made from an authentic ANGEL'S ENVY® KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON BARREL. Angel’s Envy is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels. A straight bourbon must be aged for at least 2 years, and this whiskey is typically aged between 4–6 years in new, charred American white oak barrels. In the final stage of production, Angel’s Envy finishes the bourbon for up to 6 additional months in Port barrels. This process is called ‘double maturation’ or ‘finishing’. It is these Port barrels that provide the wood for this pen.”
